Hundreds of thousands of them are on the streets of Barcelona demanding justice. Even in Valencia some violent demonstrations took place that were supporting the separatists.
The right wing and nationalist education minister of Valencia, Vicent Marzà, feels strengthened and demands: „It is the most important that the students have a Valenciano teacher, we will give the necessary incentives“ [1] One of the indications/incentives is probably that the Arenal school in Jávea only sends letters in Valenciano now.
The Valencian Constitution is clear. Article 6(3) states unequivocally: „The Generality guarantees the normal and official use of the two languages“.[2].Footnotes
But the government of our Valencian Generality does not care about constitution, law or democratic rights any more than the Catalan government does. Like any crook, they remember and remind others of the law, when they are accused themselves.
Quim Torra, the Catalan president, has for days urged the Catalan CDR to protest and for him it was important to announce that he wants to hold another referendum, although he knows that a referendum is illegal.
Enric Nomdedéu, the Valencian regional secretary for employment, does not hesitate to say: „...that infiltrated police are encouraging (the) incidents in Barcelona“[3] That would be quite possible and it would not be the first time that the police leadership also smuggles agents provocateur among demonstrators. But is this the message of these days? I think: It becomes (finally) clear that not insignificant parts of the separatists are not peaceful at all! For years you have indoctrinated the youth with hatred against all Spanish, now you reap what you have sown.
Daily life under the separatist government in Catalonia is marked by discomfort and discontent. Don't you believe that? How many parents do you think now have the courage to challenge the letter in Valenciano with a request to be informed bilingually in the future? The first thought that each parent has is: 'Will my actions harm my child? (Therefore the name of the recipient is blacked out in this letter copied here!)
Many teachers have already confided in me that they don't dare to criticise? I must not make their name public under any circumstances! This applies even more to the many teachers who only have an annual contract.
That is the situation here in Valencia, if you have children on whom Valenciano is imposed in school and it is even worse in Catalonia, if your boss is a separatist, if you are a civil servant, if you run a business and have forgotten to sign something in Catalan and get a multa (penalty) for it and so on and so forth.
There is no remedy, we have to take action against these outlaws, whether they're in the Valencian or Catalan government or if they are lighting garbage cans in the streets of Barcelona. The exclamation „Resist from the start“ comes too late. We must do more against the separatists, especially in Valencia, otherwise one day cars will burn in Valencia and tourists will stay away.
